St Augustine Girls' Weekend

 

Natalie and I just got back from our girls' weekend in St Augustine with Auntie Chell and Riley, and we couldn't have had more fun! We ice skated, rode a trolley, took a carriage ride through downtown and we shopped, shopped, shopped! It was a wonderful trip, but now it is time to unpack and finish things up for Christmas!

Last Day of School for 2010

 

 

 

 

Well it is the last day of school for 2010, the kids had their holiday parties in their classes and now Natbug and I are headed to St Augustine with Auntie Chell and Riley for some shopping and girl time!

Visit with Santa

 

 

Natalie and Donovan had a long discussion before visiting Santa on what to ask for, then they get up there and Santa asks, what would you like for Christmas, to which Natalie replies, a pooping puppy. She saw a commercial for a toy puppy that poops after you feed it, we already have one of those and his name is Samson, hahahaha!

Christmas Lights

 

 

 

 

Natalie and I decided to go goof off for a little while on Saturday, we went around town and looked at some Christmas lights after an afternoon of shopping and dinner out, what a great night we had, just us girls

Christmas Program

 

Donovan was in the chorus for the school Christmas program last night. He did really well, Nana, Papa, Auntie Chell and Riley helped us cheer him on last night, and what a great program it was! Kudos to Mr. Cooper and the administrators and all the students for a great program

Turkey Shoot

 

 

 

 

We took the kids to a turkey shoot on Saturday, and both Donovan and Daniel won turkeys, while Natalie did a great job for her first turkey shoot, she didn't win one this time.

FSU vs UF Downtown Getdown

 

 

 

Auntie Chell, Riley, Natalie and I went to the Downtown Getdown for the FSU vs UF game. The girls got their faces painted, got to play games, eat, and even walk in the rain, that's right, we got a little wet getting back to the car after a little rain that decided to come join in the fun.

Black Friday

 

Of course we had to take a little break for fun during our black Friday shopping trip.

Thank You for Loving Me

 

Awe, Natalie made this in class this last week and it says "Thank you for loving me, Love Natalie", that just brings tears to my eyes, what a sweetheart.

Happy Thanksgiving

 

Natalie and Donovan had their Thanksgiving celebrations at school today, I wasn't able to make it, but a friend of mine took this picture of Natalie with her Thanksgiving costume. What a great way to start a vacation weekend!

Tea Party Time

 

 

 

 

A friend of mine held a tea party for the daughters of several of our friends. The girls all had a wonderful time, eating snacks, drinking from real tea cups and doing lots of fun activities. What a wonderful idea and Natalie and I had such a great time together!

Busy Hunter

 

 

Daniel had a great opening weekend for hunting season, his first morning he took this great 7 point and that afternoon he finished off with this gobbler that had a 11" beard. That is how you start your hunting season off.

The Whaley's Go Camping

 

 

 

 

We decided to break in Daniel's Father's Day present and went camping. The tent we got him has partitions that can separate it into three separate rooms, there is room for 3 queen sized blow up mattresses. It is AWESOME!

Funny Natalie Stories

Well, Mom and Dad and I were talking about some of the funny things that come from our little natbug, so I thought I needed to share a few before I forgot them....

Story 1 - Summer 2010 - Crabbing Trip with Nana, Papa, Donovan, Natalie and Riley
Donovan and Riley are talking in the back seat on the way to the crabbing spot about all the dead animals they keep seeing on the side of the road, when Natbug pipes up with "Ya'll stop talking about all those animals, you are making me hungry"


Story 2 - Fall 2010 - Driving down the road in the car with Mom, Natalie and Donovan
Natalie and Donovan are talking in the back seat when Natalie says she is going to marry Justin Beiber, Donovan says, "well, I don't like Justin Beiber, so if you marry him, he is NOT welcome at my house" Natalie, "Well, I can't marry him, cause I don't know where he is right now", Mom "So the only reason you can't marry Justin Beiber is because you don't know where he is right this minute", Natalie "Well, Yeah" in her best DUH tone of voice

Story 3 - Fall 2010 - Again in the car, all these words of wisdom seem to come from the back seat of the car
Natalie "Mom, guess what sound we are learning in speech, sk, you know like skeered"
Mom "you mean scared"
Natalie "Yeah, like I said skeered"

Story 4 - Fall 2010 - On the way to school, Mom, Donovan and Natalie, a little background before this one starts, Samson, our 3 year old dog, came to us from Santa
Donovan "If I ever see Big Foot, I'm gonna shoot him"
Natalie "What if Samson is Big Foot"
Donovan "Samson can't be Big Foot, he is a dog"
Natalie "How do you know, Samson came from the North Pole"
Donovan "Well he is a dog and dogs are dogs"
Natalie "Well, you don't know, he could be Big Foot"
