Building Tree Stands

Daniel and Kenny were building tree stands the other day and Donovan decided to help out. What makes this funny and worth posting, please note Donovan's "shoes" that he decided to wear while helping out. (Just in case you can't tell from the photo, they are flippers) HA, HA, HA, HA, that kid is a laugh riot.

Pedicure Saturday

Natbug and I decided that we needed pedicures, so Saturday morning, away we went. I always love spending time in the spa with my natbug, she is so much fun and loves every minute. She now has two beautiful dragonflies on her toes.

Daniel and the kids, an adventure in the makings

The kids were out of school last Monday for teacher planning, so Daniel and the kids decided to come and have lunch with me and then they headed to the Mary Brogan museum to catch the dinosaur exhibit. They spent over two hours in the museum checking out all the neat science exhibits and projects that they have available there. They are still talking about the neat stuff they got to see and do.

Sunday Morning Suprise

Donovan and Natalie woke us up Sunday morning to a beautiful breakfast suprise. We were told that we needed to close our eyes before we were allowed out of our room, and when we opened them, the table had been set and the kids had prepared a breakfast of champions...eggos, toast and microwavable jimmy dean sausage biscuits. They said that they had declared it parents day, and wanted to do something nice for us. We are so proud of our two little blessings, who could ask for more.

WOW, what a weekend!

Well, it was one busy weekend. Natalie had a tball game on Friday, I had two photo shoots and we had a birthday party on Saturday, and we had another birthday party and I had another photo shoot on Sunday. Man am I tired just remembering it all. It is truly a blessing that my photography business has been picking up, I am grateful for every shoot that I schedule, especially the return business, what a wonderul thing to have repeat business. Thought I would share these two pics I got this weekend before my beach shoot began. I still love shooting nature when I can.

Angels 2010

Natalie had her first tball game last night against the Red Sox. Her team did a wonderful job, and she did really well up until the last inning, when we caught her covering her face with her hat and glove and dancing around the base, I guess what they say about short attention spans is right.

Bug Safari Field Trip

Natalie's class was able to take a field trip this week, to enjoy a bug safari at the wildlife refuge. The kids had a spectacular time hunting for bugs in the pond, hearing all about bugs from the rangers and even getting to take a walk around for a scavenger hunt. The weather held out and we even got a little sunshine.

Bumpa's Present

Natalie LOVES to get mail, so when she got a package from Bumpa, she was super excited. She opened it up and found lots of books, she has spent so much time reading lately, I almost missed the fact that she can now sit down and read a book from cover to cover without much help from us. What a perfect gift from Bumpa, she really has enjoyed every minute.

Bowling Birthday Extravaganza!

We threw Natalie a birthday party for her and her friends at the bowling alley. They all had a great time, we bowled, ate pizza, played video games, played laser tag, pretty sure somewhere during it all we lost our minds as well. Just kidding, it was lots of fun, the kids all seemed to have a wonderful time. After bowling we took, Donovan, Natalie and Jake to see Alice in Wonderland 3D, it was really a good movie. It was a fun filled, day, but man were we ever tired.

Natalie's Birthday Celebration - The beginning

Natalie likes to think that her birthday lasts at least a week, and we usually are happy to oblige her with this, so we started her celebration on Friday at school. I brought in some popsicles and the kids provided the entertainment. They started with an opera style birthday song, that had Natalie blushing, and then the sugar kicked in. We are so happy that she has so many wonderful friends in her classmates, it has made for an exceptional school year.

Leprachaun Lion

Daniel, Donovan, Natalie, Riley and I gave the lion a makeover for St Patty's Day. I was so glad that Riley was able to join us, she really wanted to give it a try and I think she had a great time doing it. The kids really outdid themselves this time.

Birthday Celebration

For my birthday, Daniel and the kids, Mom and Dad and Pam all went with me to a local mexican restaurant to celebrate. We joined some more friends there, Danielle was also celebrating her birthday from the week before. At this restaurant at the end of your meal, they will bring you ice cream, which they smear across your face and put a happy sombrero on your head, I think I laughed so hard I cried, of course it didn't help that the waitress that smeared the ice cream on my face accidentally dropped some down my shirt. What a great way to spend your birthday, I love my family more than I could ever explain and thank God everyday for letting me have them in my life.

Cheeseburger Challenge

After Natalie's Tball practice last night, Daniel and the kids and I decided to go to a local restaurant and try out their cheeseburger challenge. They have a 3lb cheeseburger with 1lb of fries, if a single person can eat the whole thing in 30 min they get it free, they get their name on a board and get a tshirt. Needless to say, we knew that wasn't going to happen, so we decided to order it as a family and see what we could do, even with four of us eating, we still had enough left over it was hard to fit in a full size to go box. It was so much fun, we laughed through the whole dinner.
