Puzzle Me This

Natalie has fallen in love with puzzles, she got this one together the other night and we are so proud of her accomplishement, I don't think I was doing 100 piece puzzles at 4.

Donovan went to spend the weekend with Papa Frank hunting, so Daniel, Natalie and I rode in the woods and checked on the deer patches close to home.

Redneck Puppy Condo

Ok, so this was too funny not to share. Samson has been reverting to some of his pre-house broken days and is peeing on the carpet when we are not around....soooooo....we have been crating Samson when we are not around and that little turkey chewed on the zipper of his crate and broke the zipper so that it could not be closed. Well, we got another crate from Joshua and this is the contraption that was born. Daniel didn't want Samson to be too cooped up, me on the other hand, the person who has to clean the carpets behing Mr. Pee Pants Puppy, could have shoved him in a shoe box after he peed on the carpet about an hour after I got finished cleaning it last time. Anyway, thus is born the Redneck Puppy Condo, constructed with two puppy crates and bungy cords, yep thats right, bungy cords....HA, HA, HA, HA, HA!!!

Happy Birthday Noah!

We were able to go to Noah's birthday party this weekend, some of you may recognize Noah from TBall, he and his little brother Micah and Donovan were all on the same team this past year. The kids had a great time at the party, a huge pat on the back to Melanie and Joe for putting on a great party for the kids!

We had the McLaughlin family reunion this weekend. The kids had alot of fun playing with their cousins. Donovan and the boys were too busy playing football to decide to eat and Natalie and Abby really had fun running around and playing with the puzzles and books.

Jr. Museum Fun with our Cameras

Natalie and I went to the Jr. Museum to try out Mommy's new camera. So I let Natalie use my old camera and she really enjoyed taking pics. She kept telling me "Mommy, we gotta take a picture of this". Here are some of the pics I got, I will post Natalie's in just a few.

Baby TRex Video

Here was another video we got at the Walking with Dinosaurs show, this one is a little longer.

Pre-Veterans Day Celebration

This weekend Crawfordville had a Veteran's Day parade and carnival. I apologize for the picture quality, I left my camera at the office and these are pics from my cellphone camera. But as you can see Natalie and I had a blast. Donovan and Daniel decided to go hunting, so they didn't make it to the parade.

WE WON!!!! Walking with Dinosaurs

We were just notified that we won tickets to the Walking with Dinosaurs show at the Leon County Civic Center on Wednesday night....WOOOHOOOO, I am so excited. We really wanted to take the kids, but I refused to pay over $70 each for us to get into the show, so this is the best of both, we get to go and I don't have to pay almost $300 to go. I will take lots of pictures to share, this is so awesome!

Whaley Family Halloween

We had a great time trick or treating on Friday. We joined up with Aunt Carly, Uncle Chris and Hunter and went over to Aunt Carly's Dad's neighborhood for trick or treating and man do they put on some productions, there were a couple of really cool houses on our walk. The kids got more candy then they can eat in a month and had alot of fun in the process.

Donovan's Halloween at Crawfordville Elem

Donovan's teacher let the kids bring their costumes for their classroom Halloween celebration (due to school rules, they are not allowed to wear costumes on the buses so most don't let them wear them to school either). The kids enjoyed seeing one anothers' costumes and really liked their snacks. We brought in some "body part" candy for the celebration, it is gummy candy that looks like body parts, YUK, but the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. It was great seeing all of Donovan's classmates.

Natalie's Trunk or Treat

Natalie's school has a trunk or treat parade for Halloween. Me, Daniel and Nana Carol all went to enjoy the festivities. The kids do a parade around a group of cars that have their trunks all decorated for Halloween and get to practice their trick or treating skills. It was great to see all the kids in their costumes, and the school really went all out.

Cookie Baskets

Here are a couple of pics of the cookie baskets we made for Natalie and Donovan's teachers. It is hard to see in the pics but they are sugar cookies cut out like bats, cats and ghosts all decorated up and placed in the basket with some Halloween pencils to fill in the space. They seemed to be a big hit with both classes but boy oh boy where they alot of work, it will be a while before we do this again. whew.
