Natalie's Rainbow Dress

Natalie and I were talking a little while back and she mentioned that for the pageant this year, she wanted a rainbow dress. Well, in compromise, I found this dress online from a shop in Hong Kong, it arrived the other day. She LOVES it, so I guess that is all that matters. The pic isn't real good, I got it from my cell phone, but the little butterflies that run down the side have little pearls on them. We have some alterations that will be needed, but I can't wait to see her all dolled up with this one.

Valentine Creations

We made a cookie basket for Donovan to take to class for his Valentine's party today. I didn't think it turned out as good as the one we did for Halloween last year, but it was pretty cool anyway.

Daniel and I ordered the kids some Valentine's Day suprises to be sent to school yesterday. They were so suprised and excited, they loved their baskets so much.

Donovan's Reading Adventure

Donovan had to write a story in his class about growing tall or short, and his story was selected as one of the 8 that would be read to the kindergarten classes at their school on Friday. What was even more awesome was that he got to read his story for Natalie's class. It was just wonderful, so proud of our little man and his hard work.

Natalie's first Putt Putt

Well, we spent yesterday at Fun Station, Donovan had a birthday party for a great hunting buddy of his and so in order to give him some "big boy" time, Natalie and I entertained ourselves with putt putt, mining for treasure, and arcade games. This was Natalie's first time playing putt putt and she even got a hole in one at one point. She did magnificent. And as much as she loves looking for treasure, the mining experience was just perfect. Not to mention playing arcade games and winning tickets, it was a great end to a wonderful weekend.

Mori's and Avatar 3D

We took the kids out on Friday for a date night with Mom and Dad. We went to see Avatar 3D and then went to dinner at Mori's, a local Japanese hibachi restaurant. Donovan tried his first taste of sushi, he loved the salmon and cream cheese, but wasn't a big fan of the seaweed. And for those of you who haven't seen it, Avatar 3D was AMAZING! It was a great time, we always enjoy nights out with the kids.
