A Little Crabby

Donovan and Natalie got to go crabbing with Papa Frank and Nana Carol on Tuesday, and boy oh boy did they like that. Donovan hasn't been crabbing since he was probably 2 and Natalie has never been, so they got to learn something new. They are so excited for their next trip on Friday, I may even get them to clean their room.

Where the Wild Things Are

Last weekend I had a photo shoot for this really sweet couple at Maclay Gardens (you can check out their pics on the Whaley Photography blog if you are interested). Danielle and I had been talking about taking the kids to see Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, so she graciously came with me on my shoot and entertained the kids while I finished up. Once we finished up, we headed out for some Chic Fil A and the movies, and what a great movie it was. Highly recommend seeing it!

Photography Class

I just realized I had forgotten to post these pictures, Natalie and I took a digital photography class a few weeks ago and these are some shots I got during the "See if you can do it" portion of the class. We had alot of fun, and I am always trying to network with my photography, so it was well worth the time.

Natalie and Riley at Angelo's

Girls' Weekend Getaway

Natalie and I went on a weekend getaway with Nana Carol, Auntie Chell, Riley and Auntie Chell's Mom Mrs. Ilene. We left on Friday, Nana, Natalie and I got to leave early and we headed down and got to spend a little time walking on the beach at low tide and collecting shells. Auntie Chell, Riley and Mrs. Ilene got there and brought some yummy pizza down for dinner, Salodino's is worth checking out if you are in the area. Saturday morning, Nana and I got up and took a walk on the beach before everyone got up and watched the sun come up, but soon after the rain started, and it rained a good bit of the day. The girls didn't seem to mind, they got their nails painted and got pampered a little. Once the rain slowed down, we took the girls down to the beach, again it was low tide, so the water wasn't real pretty, but the girls didn't mind, they made a mud puddle and boy did they ever get muddy. We topped the night off with some dinner at Angelo's and the girls did a little after dinner dancing down stairs. Sunday was beautiful, Natalie got to see her first beach sun rise, and even got to take a walk on the beach in her pajamas. The day couldn't have been more beautiful and with not being too far from home, we weren't rushed to get back. It was a wonderful weekend, we got some great time for visiting and bonding. We will definitely be doing this again!

A Day at the Beach

Daniel, Donovan and Natalie decided to go to the beach today and to torture me while at work by sending photos of them enjoying the sunshine and water.

Princess for a Day

The Miss Wakulla County Pageant put on a Princess for a Day party for girls ages 4-12 on Saturday, so you know that we were there. The girls got to play dress up, watch movies, do crafts, have a tea part, had their nails painted, their hair done and had a makeup and poise session with the current Miss Wakulla and the 2006 Miss Wakulla, so needless to say Natalie was in HEAVEN! All of her favorite things tied up in one beautiful package.

4th of July

The kids and I had a wonderful 4th of July weekend, Daniel had to work, but we will be celebrating with him this evening. We had Mrs. Tracey, Mrs. Danielle and Bradley over on Friday for some cards and dinner. Saturday started off with a bang, taking Papa Frank out to breakfast for his birthday, and then in the afternoon, Mrs. Danielle and Bradley went with us to the river to spend the afternoon with Aunt Leah and Uncle David and their family. The kids had a blast playing in the water and eating some yummy food. Then at dark, the cannon rang and the fireworks began, and what a display it was. A huge thanks goes out to Mrs. Melanie and Mr. Clay for inviting us to join in with their celebration at their house.
