Visiting with the Herbert's
Ms. Pam's family came in for the funeral and we had a chance to visit with everyone last night and what fun we had. Aunt Rose Marie taught the kids a new trick on figuring out who is "it" and Uncle Daniel (that is correct, Daniel has an Uncle Daniel) was having alot of fun with Uncle Jim's guns during target practice, and then there was this silly hat. I only wish that we got to visit under better circumstances.
David Whaley
The services for Mr. David were so touching. We could never express how much it means to have such support. Daniel had a really hard time working on what to say about his Dad at the service, but once he got up there I don't think there was a dry eye left, he would have truly made his Dad proud.

A Sad Farewell
It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you that Daniel's Dad passed away yesterday. David was a great father, father-in-law, and grandpa. We appreciate everyone's well wishes.
Fun Day with Aunt Carly and Hunter
What a fun Saturday with Aunt Carly and Hunter. We were headed for the beach, but there was rain in the forecast, so we headed to Chuck E Cheese instead. The kids were great and really enjoyed some of the new rides there. Then we went over to Ms Lisa and Casey's house to go swimming. Natalie wasn't as sure of herself as usual, mostly because she couldn't touch the bottom, but we all had so much fun. Thanks again to Ms. Lisa for letting us tag along with Aunt Carly and Hunter.

Fathers Day
It was kind of strange not having Dad around on Fathers Day, we tried to call a couple of times, but figured they were out having fun, they are a few hours difference now, so timing calls is a little trickier. We went over and spent the afternoon with Dan's Mom and Dad and then went over for dinner at Uncle Bill's and Auntie Chells, Grandpa and Aunt Peggy , Mr. John, Ms. Ilene and Kevin joined us too. It was really nice, Auntie Chell outdid herself. Uncle Bill and Daniel took the kids on an extended buggy ride over to Mr. Scott's house and boy did they come back with fun stories. What a day.
St George Saturday
We made a trip to St George Island on Saturday with the kids. We really enjoyed playing in the waves, the undertoe warnings were high, so we didn't go out far, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

A Day with Mom
The kids and I spent the day together yesterday. We shopped, we went to the IMAX, we went and got lunch at Harry's, and got home around 9pm after having dinner with Dan. For those of you who didn't know, Dan is in his defensive tactics training course now and got pepper sprayed yesterday, and I think it has changed his attitude on the effectiveness of pepper spray versus guns, so I won't be needing that concealed weapons permit after all.
Diana's Farewell
I wanted to take a minute to wish Diana a safe journey and good luck in nursing. Diana worked with me at Northwestern and has decided to move and persue a career in nursing, I'm sure she will do great.

Update on Nana and Papa - Off to Kansas
Well I spoke with Mom and Dad, they are having a great time. They met up with some auto enthusiasts in Springfield and decided to follow along with them to Topeka, Kansas for an auto show for antique cars. They have really enjoyed their trip so far, and have uploaded a few pics, so be sure to stop by their picassa site, linked below and check it out.
What do you do when its 100 degrees and you don't have power...
You go eat ice cream. We lost power yesterday for a couple of hours and we couldn't stand it in the house any longer, so we headed out for some ice cream. We would have loved some dippin dots, but they were closed, so we stopped in at Myra Jeans for a cool treat. It was yummy.
Shiner
Natalie got a shiner on Friday. She was enjoying Water Day at day care and was sliding down a water slide. Well, she decided to stop and the kid behind her didn't, so BANG. She now has a nice shiner.

Oh Crap, is that a road work sign on Lawhon Mill
Yes, yes it is. The Wakulla County Commission has been saying that they would be paving Lawhon Mill Rd since before Daniel and I moved over there 4 years ago and now, we finally have a road sign up that says that road work is on its way. FINALLY!

Nana and Papa are on their way
We stopped by this morning to wish Mom and Dad a safe trip. They are now retirees. WOW, that is so funny, cause it just doesn't seem right, they have worked so hard for so many years. Well, they are off to start a new journey, and hopefully one that is much more fun than all the work they had to do to get there. We love you very much, safe travels, and may God watch over you every day.

Back on the Jr Museum Circuit
Well, on Monday Dan had to be at work at 4pm, so the kids and I struck out on an adventure. We went to the Jr Museum and had so much fun, checking out the new monkey exhibit and playing around. We left there and headed out to get something to eat and then went to see Horton Hears a Who. What a cute movie for the kids. By the time that was over, we were exhausted. Sometimes it is good when the weekend is over.
Beach Photos
We took our annual pictures for my Dad on Sunday at Alligator Point. Here are some of the highlights.
Blog Catchup
I apologize for being absent from the blog this past week, and I will not play a little catchup. We didn't want to blog much on Memorial Weekend since we were working on a suprise going away gift for my mom and dad. We spent our Memorial Weekend enjoying some time with each other and our extended family. Here are Natalie and Donovan cheesing it up as usual at lunch on Saturday.
