Sunshine through the clouds

 

The kids and I were headed out for the day and I snapped this pic, just wanted to share, I thought it was kinda cool.

What a good hearted kid...

You really know that you have done something right as a parent when your kids do something that you never expected, and it was something good. One of the guys that works with Daniel at the prison had their house burn down, he, his wife, their two teen daughters and 8 year old son lost everything. Daniel was telling us the story last night at dinner and when we got home last night, Donovan went through his toys and put together a bag of toys to give to the little boy. Donovan said that he could use them more than we could. WOW! I never would have expected that he would come up with so much generosity at 8 years old.

In Florida, in order to be certified to carry pepper spray as a law enforcement officer, you first have to experience being pepper sprayed. Here is the video from Daniel's certification training.

A Soggy St George Saturday

 

 

 

 

Daniel's class had a get together on St George on Saturday. We got a little rain to start the morning off, about a half hour huddled under a pavilion from the wind, rain and lightning, but after that the skies cleared and it was a beautiful day.

Pam's garden is just outstanding, all of the flowers are blooming and everything is just beautiful. We were enjoying some time in the yard yesterday when this Tiger Monarch came into the garden, so of course we had to take some pictures.
