Papa volunteered his truck for the Veteran's Day parade this past Saturday for Natalie and the other Miss Wakulla Queens, Nana drove because Papa was stalking a big deer. Us girls had a blast!

Where have we been....wow, it has been crazy at our house the past few months, getting back into the swing of school, Dan hurt his knee and is now all better, Donovan hurt his ankle and will hopefully be out of his cast today, I hurt my neck, but seem to be doing better and as always things are go, go, go. It has been a while since I posted, but I thought what better time to start than now. So here are my two scary ghouls last night, they had a great time visiting with friends and family and scaring everyone!

So they have set off for their adventure, Papa has been posting some pics so I thought I would post here too. Donovan has been having a blast, he thought Bass Pro and Cabelas were super cool with all the exotic mounts and live animals, and he really like Hemingway's dessert menu. They have experienced a slight delay, but we hope they will be able to move on into South Dakota today or tomorrow, I know they are not excited about hanging out in tornado alley with all the storms the past few months. We have enjoyed our phone calls, but hopefully next week we will be ready for some skype chats as well.

Universal Studios

Donovan and I went to Universal Studios for his 5th grade field trip, what fun we had, we got to be a part of the fear factor live show, we rock climbed, we rode rides, it was a BLAST! We are still a little tired, but it was worth every minute!

I have been the worst blogger the past few weeks, we have been so busy getting things ready for Donovan's trip and end of school and Natalie's pageant that we haven't seen the light of day...well you know. We did make time for a family crabbing trip with some of my friends from high school and their families, Donovan loved being able to be the one to show the other kids how it was done. And Natalie, well, she is Natalie, someone dared her to eat a minnow, so of course she did, what a mess.

Soccer season has started, and Donovan is loving getting back in the swing of playing. It has been a cold start to the season, but hopefully it will start warming up soon.

Natalie got straight A's on her report card, she also was recognized as a Super Citizen for the last nine weeks. Donovan got an improvement ribbon and he was able to bring his grades up almost to A/B honor roll, he is working hard and we are so proud of both of them. Thanks to Nana Carol we were able to get pics of Natalie at her awards ceremony.

St Augustine Girls' Weekend

Natalie and I just got back from our girls' weekend in St Augustine with Auntie Chell and Riley, and we couldn't have had more fun! We ice skated, rode a trolley, took a carriage ride through downtown and we shopped, shopped, shopped! It was a wonderful trip, but now it is time to unpack and finish things up for Christmas!

Donovan and Riley are talking in the back seat on the way to the crabbing spot about all the dead animals they keep seeing on the side of the road, when Natbug pipes up with "Ya'll stop talking about all those animals, you are making me hungry"

Natalie and Donovan are talking in the back seat when Natalie says she is going to marry Justin Beiber, Donovan says, "well, I don't like Justin Beiber, so if you marry him, he is NOT welcome at my house" Natalie, "Well, I can't marry him, cause I don't know where he is right now", Mom "So the only reason you can't marry Justin Beiber is because you don't know where he is right this minute", Natalie "Well, Yeah" in her best DUH tone of voice

Keep Wakulla County Beautiful hosted the 2010 Coastal Cleanup and I was there as photographer, so Donovan decided to come along and help out. It started off a little rainy, but the day ended up being beautiful and the event was a huge success. We even stopped by the Marine Lab for a little wildlife adventure. It was a great day with little man, we don't often get that kind of one on one time.

Labor Day Exploring

We decided to make the most of Labor Day, so we headed to the Marianna Caverns. We got there and had about an hour and half before our tour started, so we took a nature walk, stopped for a little ice cream and even checked out the exhibits. Then we headed out for the tour, it was a very neat experience, the kids had a wonderful time, if you have never been, I would suggest it, it took about an hour from start to finish. What a great way to spend the day off.

Natalie has finally lost her first tooth. She has been so down in the dumps that all of her classmates had lost one before her. For the past week all we have heard about every five minutes is her wiggle tooth, she would walk up to you and say, wanna see my wiggle tooth, she has been so funny.

We spent Saturday with some friends at their birthday party, and once everyone had left the kids all sat down to watch a movie, when out of nowhere little miss Harleigh came over and layed down with Natalie and Natalie started rubbing her back, it was by far one of the cutest moments to behold. I guess Natalie would have made a pretty good big sister, she will just have to keep practicing on all of her little friends :)

Football Camp

I won a scholarship for Donovan to attend the pros and kids football camp here in Tallahassee last week. He had a great time, and since he has never played football before, this was a great learning experience for him. I think that soccer will continue to be his sport of choice, but he really enjoyed learning more about football.

Natalie had a birthday party in St George Island on Saturday, so we took Donovan and a couple of his friends along for the ride. I think the kids had a great time playing in the waves and hunting for periwinkles in the sand. It was beautiful weather for the beach!

Well my photography business has really been picking up, so Donovan and Natalie got to spend some time with Papa and Nana last weekend while Mom took some pictures at a wedding. Donovan and Natalie had a great time showing me on Sunday when I picked them up that they had learned how to catch crawfish.

Donovan's soccer team ended their season undefeated on Friday night. They celebrated with a pizza party at Rummy's. It was such a wonderful season, I think Donovan has found his sport, he scored three goals on Friday!

Mother's Day Tea

What a beautiful way to start the Mother's Day weekend, a tea with Natalie and her kindergarten friends. Mrs. Pearce really outdid herself as well as all the other kindergarten teachers, it was a very special event and I loved having that time with Natalie. Granted, I cried a good bit of it, it was just so wonderful.

Donovan's 10th Birthday Party

I can't believe it has been 10 years already. Donovan decided he wanted his birthday party at Fun Station, so we got to ride go karts, play laser tag, eat pizza, play video games, it was AWESOME! And even though Natalie and I were able to take the boys on in go karts, when it came to laser tag, me, Natalie and Nana Carol were just not enough to beat those old boys after all. But it was sure fun trying. It was Nana's first time at laser tag, and I think we will be trying it again real soon :)

Donovan started the spring soccer league last night. His team name is the Bulldogs. I will post his schedule as soon as we get it. He is very excited about this season, it is his first soccer season and he ended up with several of his friends from school on his team. GO BULLDOGS!

For Daniel's birthday we took him to go see a couple of movies that we have been dving to see. We started off with Clash of the Titans in 3D, we were disappointed, not at all what we had anticipated, we both agreed that we liked the original better. Then we went to see How to Train vour Dragon in IMAX 3D, and if you haven't seen an IMAX 3D movie, we highly suggest it, it was spectacular! Besides, you get to wear these really cool oversized glasses, who could resist!

Spring Break 2010 - A Day of Fishing

I was able to take off on Wednesday and spent the day fishing with Daniel, Donovan, Natalie and Donovan's friend Jake. We had a wonderful time, and had a good mess of fish too. The excitement of the day was Natalie finding and Daniel killing a moccasin that was about 3 and 1/2 or 4 ft long. I could do without that excitement next time though.
